This is my final potato head design, I feel that the final result is rather good as I have placed the fetchers of this face within the right proportions. This image was created through the use of the magnetic lasso tool of which I drew around each facial fetcher with that allowed me to detach my chosen images from there original background, enabling me to use them in the construction of this face.
This piece was originally one image of an astronaut in orbit and a fictional arctic, space like landscape. I integrated these two images by first using the magnetic lasso tool that I drew around the astronaut in this piece, which allowed me to cut it from its original background with precision and ease after which I then placed it in front of this imaginative landscape. even tho using the magnetic lasso tool was effective I found that it took a little longer than the magic wand method if I were to do this task again I would have chosen a more dramatic background and also added a shadow underneath the astronaut. however i do feel that this image has rather successful qualities one of which I believe can be first seen in the way in which the right side of this astronauts body is brightly lit as this fact causes the light from the planet in the background to look as tho it is shining upon the astronaut making this image look somewhat believable.for this image I have created a piece that looks as though a cat is about to leap in to a pool of water on a strange planet , I feel that this image is rather imaginative however the cat has not integrated with the background as well as I would have hoped if I were to do this piece again I would create a design that displays a larger image of a cat as to stress how bazaar the idea of a cat being in space is. I would have also added a shadow like reflection in the water to make the overall image look more believable. For this piece, I was asked to adjust the various values of this picture, of which I feel I have done well as all of the colours that make up this image are present and I have edited this piece in such a way that the shadows are very prominent and add dimension to this piece. while editing this photo I ensured that this image would not lose any detail I made sure of this by purposely keeping this photo rather light. I believe that even though the final outcome of this task is very clear I feel that I should have edited the colours in this image to appear as being more vibrant than they are presently. I also feel that the outcome of this image looks rather blue and feel that this causes the setting of this image to appear to be occurring on a cold day rather than what was presumably a warm summers day.
I feel that I have completed this task well as I have successfully edited the bug so it appears to be submerged in tea within the cup. I have accomplished this effect by first cutting the bug in this picture from its original image, I did this through the use of the magic wand tool of which i first clicked on to the back ground and then clicked on the inversion tool and then cut the image of the bug out of its back ground allowing me to then place it in front if this tea cup. After this was done i then began combining the two images together by painting a small part of the lower body of this beetle with the same colour of the tea, causing the bug to appear to be in the liquid. I furthered this effect by gradually lowering the opacity layer by layer with my paintbrush. while doing this I made sure that the legs of this beetle would remain faintly visible as I believed that this design choice causes this picture to look more realistic. once the integrating of the beetle and the tea was finished I then began to creating the ripple effect that can be seen taking place in this cup, I created this effect by first clicking the distort option of which I then scrolled down and selected the distort function that revealed to me the zigzag tool. this tool allowed me to create a wave like an effect that I could adjust the frequency of so I went on to create three ripples as I felt that this frequency was appropriate. finally, I then created a drop shadow to the plate of this piece by double-clicking the picture of the cup and plate, this caused a various amount of options to appear to which I used the drop shadow function from this enabled me to create the shadow of this plate. This image of a city is what I have chosen to create the background of my hoax news piece. I have chosen this particular image as I believe it to be a suitable canvas for this task as it is in focus and displays a great amount of clear colour. I have also chosen an image of a city in particular as in my opinion the idea of an event happening in a city or town may cause my viewer to more interested or concerned about this event as it is taking place in a very public settingThis image of a city is what I have chosen to create the background of my hoax news piece. I have chosen this particular image as I believe it to be a suitable canvas for this task as it is in focus and displays a great amount of clear colour. I have also chosen an image of a city in particular as in my opinion the idea of an event happening in a city or town may cause my viewer to more interested or concerned about this event as it is taking place in a very public settingThis image was created to act as false news to which I have decided to presented my audience with an image of an oversized giraffe towering over a city I feel that this image is somewhat successful but could be greatly improved by using sharper images and editing them so that they look within better proportion to each other. I have also made sure to incorporate a subtle shadow to this image as to cause the overall piece to look more realistic. even tho this image is rather unbelievable I don’t feel it is dramatic enough and does not shock y viewer enough there for I will look to create another hoax news image of which will be more dramatic. This image of a city is what i have chosen to crate the back ground of my hoax news piece. i have chosen this particular image as i believe it to be a suitable canvas for this task as it is in focus and displays a grate amount of clear colour. I have also chosen a image of a city in particular as in my opinion the idea of a event happening in a city or town may cause my viewer to more interested or concerned about this event as it is taking place in a very public settingThis image of a city is what I have chosen to create the background of my hoax news piece. I have chosen this particular image as I believe it to be a suitable canvas for this task as it is in focus and displays a great amount of clear colour. I have also chosen an image of a city in particular as in my opinion the idea of an event happening in a city or town may cause my viewer to more interested or concerned about this event as it is taking place in a very public settingThis Is the final outcome of my second hoax, I believe that I have successfully created a more dramatic scene through my use of placing a more threatening animal in a public place, I also like the look of the shadow that I have created in this image as from my perspective this has caused the overall image to look more realistic. As well as this I feel that both of these images work well due to the fact that the positioning of the woman in the image on the waterfront appears to be looking at the snake that is now coming out of the water. However, I still believe that this image looks rather fake a disappointing fact of which I will look to eliminate in future hoax pieces. In this image i have created a subtle wave effect of which i began by first selecting the filter option to which revealed the distort list that included the zigzag function/ i then clicked this function that allowed me to crate waves veering in frequency from looking some what subtle to becoming very extreme having discovered this i chose to form a subtle, vet visible wave effect that believe further causes this image to seam realistic.
This piece began as three separate images of which I have combined together by first cropping the road that is now in this image from its original photo, i did this by using the rectangular shaping tool of which I drew around the road and a small section of the sky with, I then turned on the feather tool that I set to 120. this then allowed me to subtract my selected portion of this image from its background in a non block-like fashion of which effectively covered over and blended well in to my second image. After I had done this I then had to change the colour of the road to the same red colour of the background , I did this by first clicking on the image selection that then revealed the match colour tool that I selected my page as the source and I then selected the layer which held the red road background to which then successfully changed the colour of the once blue and grey road to this red colour. then repeating this cutting and matching colour formula I integrated the moon. I finished this image by finally drawing a rectangle of which I made transparent by lowering its opacity. This is an image of the various leaves that I have chosen for this task of which I will individually take out from this picture using the direct selection tool.In this image you will see the many ways in which I have edited my pictures of leaves, if you will acknowledge the fact that I have transformed these once boring leaves in to ones of which now show very bright colours of reds, yellows oranges and greens effects that have been made possible through the use of the colour balance tools in photoshop. And also the contrast adjustment tool. I am very pleased with these outcomes. I have chosen these colours in particular as these adjustments were carried out while possessing the intention of still having these leaves look natural as I wanted to translate the idea of autumn through my patterns.I believe that this pattern is elegant and aesthetically pleasing. while making this pattern my intentions were to keep the colours natural looking a colour scheme of which I think is effective however I felt that I should start experimenting with brighter colours such as reds, yellows, oranges and lighter shades of green. In this design I have started using brighter colours an experiment of which I feel has proven to be rather effective as I believe this pattern to be more eye-catching an effect, I suspect is due to the stronger contrast in colours. In this pattern, I have introduced the use of the feather tool of with I Incorporated by first drawing ovals and circles around other leaves with while having selected the feather tool this allowed me to take sections from other leaves and place them on to my pattern a fact of which I believe to have been rather effective. However, I do feel that this patter is not extravagant enough and will look to create another pattern having this in mind.I began the makings of this image by first duplicating the already separate image of the two penguins after doing so i then repositioned the penguins of the right cutting it from its original place using the direct selection tool i then began creating the shadows belonging to the penguins by again making another copy of these birds that I painted entirely black causing them to now look like black silhouettes, having done this I then made these silhouettes transparent and began to turn them and elongate them in to this shadowing position, making sure to match the now grey penguin figures with the feet of the original penguin pictures. After this, I got rid of the black space that once occupied the very top of this image using the magic wand tool that I used to delete this black portion revealing a new background of seagulls. having done this I started to populate the hotel with various birds I started this by deleting the inner squares of the windows using the polygon lasso tool that I drew around the window frame with that allowed me to delete the content within this shape. after this, I placed an image of an eagle that I had earlier cut from a separate image using the direct selection method looking as tho it is flying out of the window. I then repeated this method on the window on the right side of this building that I filled the empty space with a flamingo appearing to be looking out of this window. I then believed that placing head of an ostrich coming from out of the chimney of this hotel would be somewhat interesting and Hu furthered this design by placing the body of an ostrich in plain sight having its head in the sand a style choice I hoped would suggest to my audience that the storage head appearing out from the chimney was belonging to the body of the ostrich in the sand. I finished this piece with the addition of the goose wearing a monical peering out from over the building. In this image, I have made sure to create a more obvious fading effect, a fact that I have achieved by blending three images of which had quite noticeably different shades of blue occupying the backgrounds. from my perspective this has greatly benefited the overall image as this fact has caused these once three separate images to better appear to be one large image and I feel that I have effectively caused a more obvious faded look
If you will acknowledge the fact that in this banner I have used more images a choice that I amused would cause the end result to appear to be more eye-catching and cause a more interesting flow. however, from my perspective, the outcome has revealed that the banners only showing three images to be much clearer and effective.I began this piece by first duplicating the original picture to which i then created a layer mask by clicking the quick layer-mask tool. After i had done this i then changed the quick masking options setting to selected arias. Then i began to paint over the hair belonging to the woman in this image. Having done this I selected the hair by again clicking on the quick masking tool of which outlined the hair allowing me to edit the colour. I did this by first clicking on the image selection that then revealed me to the adjustments function to which presented me with the curves tool that I then made alterations to. I used this method to transform individual sections of this picture throughout this task. I have chosen this blue and purple colour scheme in order to create a winter like theme of which I feel has resulted in a rather successful outcome that is both subtle and effective.I believe that i have executed this task well an opinion i have due to the fact that the images in my collage are still clear even tho they have been edited a characteristic of which causes the over all image to look less abstract ,a stile choice i had set out to achieve while designing this collage. Another characteristic i like about my collage is my dominantly yellow, orange ,black and brown colour scheme that can occasionally be seen fading in to pinks, purples, blues and greens. This collage began with me first placing the image that would soon become by main focal point in the centre of my canvas that image being the picture of a person on a motorised bike in the centre of a city, to which i then made roughly three copies of, having done this i then started editing these copies individual and differently after that i then selected the overlay tool to which blended my images together. Once this piece had begun i started to take specific sections and pieces from a list of images i was given to carry out this task , starting this part by using the quick selection tool to take my chosen characters from a image filed with scattered numbers and letters of which i strategically placed on the face of the building and also at the bottom left and right had corners of this collage. Finding this style appealing i exercised a different method for this task now using the polygon lasso tool that i drew triangle shapes around the letters and numbers with to cut them from there back grounds. I put this method in to practice three times of which the results of this can be seen taking place in both the top right corner where i have presented my audience with a blue black and purple triangle shape full of letters and at the very bottom right corner that shows a orange triangle with the letter A in its centre the final triangle can be found blending in to the already existing letters within the bottom left corner of this collage. The image i was now left with looked rather dull so i decided to create a colourful back ground. I did this by blending three images in to my back ground one that was very orange and slightly yellow that i made significantly brighter using the brightness and contrast tool. Another was a brightly light road at night that i used the over lay tool to take only the shine from the street lights and the red and yellow lights that a car had made. The third image was a blue and green water colour painting that i again made brighter using the brightness and contrast tools once i was satisfied with the colours and new positioning of these pictures i then set them to overlay.
This is the beginning of my Indonesian collage, these images have been taken from there original backgrounds and integrated in to this piece using a combination of tools such the quick masking method of which I used to select the image of the women dressed in carnival uttier and the Indonesian temple as this tool allowed me to effectively select the instruct ways of these images. and I had also used the rectangular marquee tool that I selected the larger images with such as the image of calm waters that occupies the very bottom of this collage and also both the images of the volcano and the Indonesian statue and finally the picture of the waterfall. After I had exercised these various ways of cutting and pasting images I then began to merge these images together using the layer masking tool which combined with the gradient tool allowed me to create this blended look. Having got to this stage I became very fond of the way I have framed this image of a waterfall with this Indonesian temple as I felt that the combination of these two images would make a very effective main focal point as I believed it to be aesthetically pleasing and attention-grabbing.This picture shows the first combination of images I had created for this task. I believe that this collage is somewhat successful because of the fact that I have chosen images that almost naturally integrate in to each other an effect that can be seen taking place in the way that the top of the waterfall image and the based of the new picture of volcanoes appear to be matching in the colour green. this can similarly be seen occurring up the left-hand side of this collage in the way that I have selected images in a very blue scale while on the right-hand side I have used pictures that show warm colours like yellows oranges and browns. I have done this in order to create a clear contrast in colour an intention I believe has been successful as well as this I have also placed these images, that create good contrast around the edges of this collage to exaggerate the way that the temple in the middle of this picture frames the image of a waterfallIn this version of my Indonesian collage I re-created the framing technique that I created in my earlier collage, however, I have chosen to use fewer images as I believed the old collage to look too overcrowded. I have replaced the blue images that I placed on the left-hand side of my collage with an image of parrot wings that I have set to overlay to create this elegant look. this allowed me to integrate more colour into my collage without overpowering the rest of the picture. Even tho I have simplified this image I feel that it is still to busy there for I will look to simplify my collage in further development. This is an image of my final Indonesian college of which I have developed further by minimising the amount of imagery I hade included in the previous version of this poster . of which I have done by subtracting the picture of the female natives that I had originally placed in the top left-hand corner and a picture of brightly colour flowers that I had originally set to overlay and had placed them over the very top mountain. I have also better blended these images together and as a result, this poster is now less crowded with images and as a much more natural flow. The images within this collage are all world war 2 based. I am very proud of this final outcome as I believe this poster to be original and intriguing as I have included a very bright colour that can be seen travelling down the centre line of this college,a characteristic of which I believe attracts the attention of my audience due to the fact that usually imagery that is based upon the war commonly presents there audience with very loyal colours of green, brown and grey or are usually in black and white. The images in this collage were originally separate from each other. I subtracted the sections of the separate images that I wanted by using the polygon tool of which I drew around my selected area that enabled me to take it from its background. having done this I then positioned my pictures in place and began to blend them together using the masking tool and the gradient tool that I set to fade to transparent. The different colours that run through the center of this collage are images of colour powder explosions that I found on the internet of which I selected these chosen areas through the use of the quick masking tool that I made sure was set to select selected area that let me cut them from there backgrounds allowing me to strategically place this in this position after which I then set these pictures to overlay.to create this texturised text I first began by typing the word metal with a new text I had downloaded from the website Da Font. com of which I placed in the centre of my page. after I had written my text I then double clicked my text layer of which revealed the gradient tool in with I created a gradient on my text on with, that I set to fade to transparent . after having done this I then imported my metal gid texture of which I placed on top of my text and changed its setting to overlay of which caused the new metallic image to appear only within my text. after this was done I them began the background doing to by unlocking the background layer and creating a radial gradient that I set to fade from yellow to orange. I then locked all of my existing layers and imported a rested metal texturised image that I set to overlay the background. Even tho this effect was effective I still felt that the overall design was not ascetically pleasing .This image is a result of the further development of my original metal design I believe that this put come is better as I have created better contrast causing the textures I have used to look more prominent and I feel that I have caused a more eye-catching look with my additional texturised images that I placed in the corners of this image.
This collage was constructed with images I have taken from a ready-made list of pictures while the other half of the images in this collage I have taken out of various magazines. To start this image I first began by placing my main focal point into position that is the large image of the female. After having done this I then took an image of a butterfly wing from my given list of images doing so through the use of the quick masking tool of which I made sure to be set to selected areas and then I covered the butterfly wing with the masking tool allowing me to subtract it from its background. I then chose to tessellate this image covering a small percentage of the hair belonging to the woman in my piece. Then repeating this method I created the swirl like cloud image that can be seen taking place on the right-hand side. To further this design I also used the ink marks from my list of images I was given and placed them underneath my cloud pattern as to resemble rain. due to my image now explaining a rain cloud sean I added to this idea by placing a torn image of a curved, orange steel object and made three copies of this object and roughly connected them in hopes it would resemble a rainbow , I also placed an ink mark at the right end on his new image to appear to be a cloud. after being pleased with this outcome I came across an image in another magazine of a stained pillow that had a plashed paint look that I believed would add colour to my collage of which it did after I had made several copies of this stain and edited them to show different colours of which I did by selecting the image option of which allowed me to select the adjustments tool that revealed the colour balance selection that enabled me to wildly change the original colour of the stain.

This collage has been constructed by a few pictures from the docs slideshow that I have included above this images. I began this image by placing the face of my statue in the very centre of what would be my collage as this would soon become my main focal point. I retrieved this image through the use of the quick masking tool of which I drew around the face of the original image of the statue that once had a torso. after I had positioned my image using the same quick masking method I placed an image of the steel cross like object of which has two locks hung on it, behind the face of my statue. After this was done I decided to create my image to resemble I pirate as I believed this topic best fitted the concept of the Bristol docs. I put this idea into practice by using sections of images of decorative wooden benches that I cut triangular shaped out of using the polygon tool that I then formed into the shape of a pirate hat. To further this design I then incorporated the image of patterned steel into the right-hand side of the statues face in hopes that the now pirate like statue would also resemble a boat and to finish the boat effect off I included a picture of a red and white steel road post to the top of the hat to look like a mast of a ship. once this look was finished I completed this collage with various street arts that I discovered along the way all of which included the picture of the fish that is vomiting rubbish, the bluefish and finally the bottles of beer that is protruding from the left-hand side of the statue face.
Eduardo Recife is a brazilin typographer and illustrator who is known for his unique multi-medium collages of which he creates using a combination of vintage images, sections from magazines, small ink markings, old stains and symbols. He is well recognized for his 35 typefaces.
This well-known artist has worked for various company’s including the new york times, YouTube, Volkswagen, HBO and many more and has had his works published in over 70 books. Eduardo has also won many prizes such as the Cannes lion Gold in 2011, the American International of 2009 and the young illustrations reward in 2014 to add to his many achievements Eduardo was also invited to be a member in a group of artists that create special works for the world cup in 2014. He was also one brazilin who created a signed bottle for the alcoholic drink absolute vodka
Despite his impressive and very experienced background as a graphic commercial artist Eduardo had always been very passionate about the fine arts of which he puts in to practice with intricacy and symbolism that communicates his views of man’s wants and wishes and tells his viewers of his questions and dreams. His works are described as being passionate and extremely detailed of which seem to actively demand the attention of the public in hopes to draw out their personal dreams, hopes and questions.
Only Good Thoughts. I believe that Eduardo has given this piece the title Only good thoughts as to imply to his audience that the individual components of this image have been included as to explain Eduardo Recife’s want to retrain his mind to think positively. He has effectively done this by presenting his audience with an image of a young boy whose head he has painted slightly facing downwards with closed eyes, while blue dots appear to be excepted from the child’s eyelids of whom is surrounded by white doves one of which he is holding in his right arm while stroking it with his left. This image best explains his topic due to the fact that by painting the head of this young boy as this angle implies that this boy is feeling negative emotions an interpretation which is supported by the blue dots that seem to be emanating from his eyes as these markings highly resemble tears. Best translating the idea of negativity, while the white doves fly freely around him suggest the idea of hope, love, freedom and purity of which is reflected in their white colour. Eduardo has fashioned his main focal point in the form of the young boy in which he has done buy positioning him within the very centre of this piece a composition choice that supports the idea of this particular image being the centre of attention. He has also made this possible by catching the eye of his viewer through his clear contrast in colour between the boy’s dark navy-blue coat and the pale purple background and the white doves that frame the picture of the young boy. I believe that Eduardo has fashioned the background in this light purple shade as to represent the past pain this young boy had experienced while being in a negative mindset an interpretation, I have due to this shade of purple resembling the purple, red like colour that belongs to a bruise an injury that reveals its self a short amount of time after an incident. I also feel that the old traditional images combined with his hand-painted purple-faded background creates a vintage style. This image causes me to recall my experience of suffering bad mental states while wanting to create a new positive frame of mind and kindles hope in me that this can be made possible while in this position this image also reminds me that others experience this emotional and mental conflict. bringing me to the conclusion that the function of this image is to express the shared states of mind that we as humans have all experienced. Another characteristic that I have found meaning in is the small butterfly that Eduardo has perched on the shoulder of this child as I believe that this butterfly has been placed in this position to make reference and to contradict the concept of having a devil on your shoulder replacing it with a butterfly to translate the idea of a positive character or entity on a person’s shoulder of which tells only of good things. In this piece, Eduardo Recife effectively makes his subject matter extremely clear through the use of his title that he has created in this large black lettering that spells the word love. Eduard also translates his subject matter through his mass involvement of the colour red a colour that can represent many things including the idea of romance. which he has displayed in scribble like markings and small images of hearts across his page as well as this Eduardo has presented his audience with imagery that shows a young male presenting a female with a red rose while the female appears to be offering a bird that can be seen within her tightly closed hand a scene which symbolises love due to the fact that roses are intrinsically linked to the idea of romance and the way that birds can represent hope and freedom effectively explains to the viewer that the boy is expressing feelings of love while the female is hopeful about this transaction of kind gestures. Eduardo’s use of vintage imagery to act as his main focal point a style choice of which makes strong reference to the traditional forms of art that he actively corpus though his scribble like ink marking’s that he defaces these images with effectively combining modern art mediums with the old traditions of art forms.

I believe that this college is successful because of the way that the various bright colours contrast against each other and the dark background of this image. As well as this the contrast in style that the individual images have complemented each other well and cause the separate aspects of the images to stand out better as opposed to if the imagery that makes up this collage were to all be within the same media. An example of this can be seen taking place in the way that the creases like details belonging to the human hands are more prominent and the way that the flat space like background image frames this realistic and elegant looking human part of the collage and the flowers that appear to be growing from out of the head. The artist of this collage has used the image of the woman’s lower face and hands as his main focal point a characteristic I believe exists due to the fact that it is this image that shows the brightest shades of colour and is also not as busy as the other imagery within this collage. I believe that the artist of this collage is trying to express the concept of promised personal growth. I have come to this conclusion because I interpret the design of the flowers and foliage growing from out of this head as an attempt of symbolising positive development of the persons internal and external self. I also interpret the rainbow like the streak that can be seen taking place in the centre line of this collage as a symbol of promise this is due to the fact that the Christian bible teaches that an image of a rainbow can represent a promise. The composition of this collage effectively draws the eye upwards attracting the viewer’s attention at the bottom section of this poster through the use of the pale face. Then attracting the viewer’s attention through the use of colour that takes place within the flowers and foliage. Then finally the audiences attention is forced upwards as they observe the inner rainbow colours. This piece was created at the hands of Eduardo Recife, he gave this collage the title the battle within. He has presented his audience with imagery of a young child wearing a calm expression while holding an alcoholic bottle that has been set alight with the words hung within a banner that read don’t give up. I believe that the subject matter that Eduardo is trying to express is the idea that people can fight many destressing internal battles while presenting them selfs in a calm and collect manner. A state of being that can be considered as a very controversial experience and I believe that this status is reflected in the clear controversy that Eduardo has created between the content face of this child and the weapon in his hands displaying emotions of both serenity and violence. It is because of this that I believe that Eduardo has created the face of this child as the main focal point as to stress the calmness of the outer form of the child and the controversy that the weapon creates. Another aspect that grabs my attention is the contrast that the light blue background had against the old army green colour that the child in this collage is wearing. a second contract in colour that is rather noticeable is the dark redness of the old looking banner against the modern white text that reads the title don’t give up. The modern look of this text stands out well as the majority of the imagery in this collage have a rather vintage look. Eduardo has created a very natural flow to this image using the rule of thirds first attracting the attention of his audience with the face of the child and then effectively guiding the viewer’s eye through the use of the pale brown scarf as this windswept effect directs the eye to the left and then downwards towards the bottle. Once this image has been observed Eduardo draws the attention of his audience to the banner though its bright red colour. Effectively drawing the viewers eye downwards across the page. This is another piece created by Eduardo Recife That he has titled mind is like the wind. In this image, he has presented his audience with a vintage image of a woman looking as though she is falling to the floor at a left angle while a varied styled text reads mind is like the wind. Flowers and scribble like markings can also be seen taking place randomly across this page. I believe that Eduardo is trying to translate the idea that the woman’s mind in this mage is extremely unpredictable in its direction of thought and the unobtainable force of it is so great that it catches her off Gard and often trips her up in her conclusions. A impression I have come to due to the fact that the title reads mind is like the wind a characteristic of which causes its viewer to relate the imagery in this collage to this concept and I interpret the random placing of the flowers and scribble like markings in this image as symbolising the unpredictable ways of the woman’s mind and due to her falling over causes me to assume that she cannot stand them. The composition of this collage draws the attention of the viewer to its main focal point of which is the falling woman a characteristic that I believe Eduardo has done to intentionally add context to the rest of the imagery labelling it as the reason that the woman in this image has been knocked off her feet. After the viewer has studied the image of the woman their attention in then guided to the title of this collage explaining the source of the problem. Then the viewer’s eye is allowed to almost freely scan the overall design in order to view the randomly scattered ink masking and flowers.s piece titled greed was created by Eduardo Recife. I believe that Eduardo has substituted the image of the woman’s face with a picture of intestines as to suggest that the woman in this collages thoughts only revolve around feeding her never-ending hunger for material things and money I also believe that Eduardo has reflected this want in the way that he has dressed the woman’s arms in this somewhat high quality pink and purple fabric and has fashioned the hair of the woman in this particular fancy style while also showing golden coins falling from her conclusive hand while a separate hand reaches for the spare coins was done to add context to the form of greed that belongs to this woman . As well as this I suspect that Eduardo has placed the hand of this woman in this conclusive way as to symbolise the urgency of the wanting thoughts that this woman has. Eduardo has caused an irregular flow as the first draws the viewers attention to his main focal point that of which is the woman’s head. This he then guides the eye downwards to the pink and purple fabric and after the viewers have fully studied the imagery in this section there eye is then captured by the irregular faced title that reads the words greed. I believe that Eduardo has caused a clear contrast in colour that is most obvious in the dark brown hair and the pale green background but is also visibleThe artist of this collage has made its subject matter very obvious doing so by using a very large image of Salvador dallies face that also acts as the main focal point of this collage, capturing the attention of its audience with dallies left eye that has been done through the use of a clear contrast in color that can be seen taking place in the very light grey skin of Dallie and a dark grey semi-circle that frames this section. I also think that the artist has fashioned this collage in this busy way to reflect their interpretation of Salvador dallies somewhat eccentric personality and surrealist arts. This artist has glorified both Salvador dallies eyes first framing them with the use of a grey semi-circle and then with an underlying dark pattern, tear marks and a cluster of ants. A characteristic I suspect the artist has done to imply to the viewer that the artist admires dallies artistic vision. This collage has a interesting flow first capturing my eye with its main focal point and then draws my eye to analyse Salvadore dallies left eye after this the artists then captures my attention with the use of dallies original moustache of which has a curved shape that effectively frames both eyes almost influencing my eye to start this flow of attention all over again
The artist of this collage has presented its audience with an image of building like objects that have been crafted out of what appears to be strips out of old books, sheets of music and magazines and has drawn a dark and light road travelling through the buildings that a human figure can be seen walking down. I believe that the artist is trying to translate the concept of loneliness through this imagery due to the fact that there are no other human-like figures in this collage and it is because of this that I have come to the conclusion that the artist of this collage is attempting to express their experience of suffering this common state of mind presenting it as a very dark emotion, symbolising this through the artists use of varying shades of black that gradually fade to grey, creating a depressing and alumnus mood. The artist of this piece has fashioned his main focal point in the form of the human silhouette of which looks as though it is walking down this dark path. A characteristic that exists because the silhouette in this image shows the darkest shade of black and has been placed within the section of this collage that shows the largest amount of the lightest shades of grey, effectively causing a strong contrast in colour. The flow of this image first captures my attention with the dark figure and the road and then draws my attention to the largest buildings on the left hand side of this college then once I had studied the building like objects my eye wanders to the cloud like background and then finally towards the smaller/thinner building on the left of this image. This simple collage does not present its viewers with many images and only uses three, an image of a male ripping open the centre of a piece of paperwork to reveal a picture of a bright image of a seascape and a palm tree. This collage has a great amount of contrast accruing in between the white and subtle blacks of the paperwork, the dark red, blue and tand skin colour of the male and also the blue, white and green from the seascape. I believe that the artist of this collage is trying to address the commonly felt want to be in a better location people often feel while at work but may also be explaining the reason people work so hard is to be able to afford going to these exotic locations. The artist of this collage has fashioned his main focal point in the form of the male in this image doing so by making the colours of the male stand out extremely well through the use of a simple white background that has subtle black markings and by placing it in middle section of this piece supports the idea of this image being the centre of attention and adds context to the rest of the collage explaining that the imagery all explain the wants and experiences of this male. The flow of this image first captured the attention of its audience with the picture of the struggling male acting as its main focal point after this my eye is then drawn to look at the large piece of paperwork that tells my eye to study the rip within its centre of which is the bright seascape. This collage presents its viewer with an image of an explosion of which appears to be being harvested as if it were a plant by a pair of human hands. Imagery of which I believe the artist has created in order to translate the idea that man-made products are not prosperous and will always be destructive. however, I also interpret this piece as being an explanation of this fact that we are a natural species of this world thus our inventions can be seen as a natural product. The main focal point of this collage is the knife of which looks as though it is about to cut through the explosive cloud a characteristic of which I believe the artist has created to immediately label the second image of focus, the image of the explosion as being image that symbolises a plant as opposed to just being interpreted as an explosion. After this, my attention is then called to observe both of the large hands that reach down from this image in a godly fashion. The artist of this collage does not use a lot of bright colours, only using shades of white, browns and yellows and the darkest colour used can be seen taking place in the wrists of the hands causing an obvious amount of contrast while not drawing attention away from the main focal point.he artist of this image has presented its audience with a hand-drawn image of an eye that looks as though it is crying blood. I believe that the artist of this image is trying to express the subject of experienced and witnessed pain, a conclusion I have come to as I interpret the blood tear that appears to be escaping the eye and travels down the page as a symbol of emotional pain and due to the fact that it is escaping the eye causes me to assume that the cause of this blood tear originates from something that the artist has seen. The red, black and white colour scheme of this collage is effective as I believe that these colours symbolise the painful content of this imagery and also believe these colours to aide in creating the depressing mood of this collage The main focal point of this collage is the large hand-drawn eye a characteristic of which I believe exsists due to the fact that this particular image is one of the largest pictures and also is the only picture that displays a subtle blue colour. As well as this I think that the artist of this collage has done this to add context to the rest of the imagery as by capturing their attention with the eye effectively suggests to the viewer that the other imagery that they observe after this image all relate to the picture of the eyeis collage was created by Eduardo Recife he has presented his audience with an image of a young girl of who has a large black and white patterned cloud shape covering her eyes. with her hands in the pear position while being sat at a dinner table of which is presenting her with a small pile of money on a plate while various different fruits can be seen surrounding the table and a large Dimond has been positioned above the child’s head. I believe that Eduardo is trying to translate the way that children are ignorant to the source of there essential resources such as food and clothing symbolising this by replacing the idea of food being on a plate with money being on a plate, representing the fact that food is bought with money and clarifying the way that children are oblivious to this fact through the use of the cloud. I have also noticed that Eduardo has fashioned his main focal point in the form of the black and white patterned cloud a composition choice which I think works because this particular image shows the darkest colour and the most obvious contrast in colour. I suspect that Eduardo has made this image the main focal point to indicate to the viewer that all the imagery in this collage is relevant to the picture of this cloud and due to the fact that this cloud represents the idea of ignorance causes the other images in this collage to also relate to this subject. After Eduardo has captured the audience’s attention with his main focal point hew then draws the audiences eye to the young girl after this image has been studied the eye is then guided to the table of food of which after the eye is then allowed to observe the imagery in the top left corner.
This collage by Eduardo reciefe titled change your self presents its audience with an image of a child led on the floor with hot water bottles on both arms while a green plant appears to be growing from out of his chest. Eduardo has made his subject matter very clear with the use of his large title that reads change your self clearly labelling this image as a piece about bettering a persons self. he has symbolised this concept through the use of the two water bottles placed on both arms as this highly suggests that this child has been enduring strenuous activity with the use of his arms and may potentially be attempting to ease the after the pain of this task. Another characteristic that supports this concept is the plant that can be seen growing from out the chest of this young child as this symbolises the idea of self-growth and the fact that Eduardo has designated this particular image to be the only picture to show light shades of greens and yellows suggests that the plant is healthy clarifying the positivity of this personal growth. The plant of this collage acts as the main focal point capturing the viewer’s attention before the rest of this imagery because of its green and yellow colour that stands out against the black and white of the majority of the collage. after the viewer has studied this image there eye is then guided to the young boy lead on the floor. Then the dark burgundy circled that read the words true attract the attention of the viewer after which the audience then reads the large bold title. I admire the way in which Eduardo has presented the image of the young boy and the plant as by framing it in this photograph like way allows the other imagery to studied as if they were separate images. As opposed to if the photograph were to take us the entire piece while the other pictures were displayed on top.
Mood boarddesign ideas
This is an image of the beginnings of my first collage design. I began this collage by first placing the buildings in this collage in to position. i found these images within a book titled the shock of the new of which i took a photo of and cropped and edited inorder to include them in my design. i then began the sean of the street that can be seen taking place in between the images of the buildings. i found these images within various different comic books. finally i then added the faint triangular shape that can be seen taking place within the centre of this collage. this shape has been used as to outline the frame of where my main focal point will take place. I believe the beggings of this collage to be somewhat successful as i feel that i have started to create a great framing technique through my use of the buildings as well as this i also think that i have created a somewhat dramatic sean through my use of imagery and stratigic angling as i have designed the buildings of my collage to appear to be extending outward. even though i find this collage apealing i feel i have used the designs of others to much and will look to icorperate more originl art works .
This is an image of my final collage design. I have presented my viewer with an image of a hand reaching towards a flower styled sun and another cartoonesc sun which has a large smiley face. Tentacles can be seen escaping from buildings as the light from the sun like flower can be seen tearing through the flesh of the tentacles. I have fashioned my main focal point in the form of the hand that can be seen reaching towards the sun as to symbolise the grate want to get better that people of whom suffer with mental health issues posses. My second focal point has been fashioned in the form of the buildings, a style choice of which i had created as to frame my main focal point. I then finally capture the attention of my audience with the octopus’s tentacles of which extend from the buildings. i have designed this in this way as to cause the buildings to be interpreted as being filled with monster-like creatures. As to express to my audience the intense experience that mental health sufferers live within. I also believe this design to be original and eye-catching.
this image is both an ink drawing of a hand reaching a sun-like flower of which has been filed with an image that displays a range of different colours which I have painted on to a page using a mixture of both ink and watercolour. Which I have styled to graduate from displaying bright colours of oranges, reds and yellows to showing colours of blues, purples, pinks and lighter shades off yellows. I have included this bright colour scheme as I believe these colours best symbolise the positivity of escaping mental illness. I achieved this look by first duplicating the image of the hand drawing of which I then used the quick selection tool to select the interior of the hand shape of which I then deleted. After this, I then placed the image of my multicoloured painting behind the image of the hand.i added two different versions of the colourfull painting behind this image and after correctly positioning them I then blended these two different paintings into each other using the masking tool and gradient method.
some of the images on this resources page have been taken from out of a book titled the shock of the new while others have been taken from old comics and the rest have been drawn and painted with ink and watercolour. In this collage, I have used a range of media such as photography, of which can be seen taking place through the images of the building i also used Pen and ink for the tentacles, sun-rays and clouds. I have also used ink and watercolour in the makings of the colourfull interior of the hand. As well as this I used the photoshop paint bucket tool to colourise my flower-like sun. and field the triangle shape using the gradient colour tool within Photoshop to create this sky like effect. I have designed the hand, sky and suns in these bright colours in order to express the positive meanings that belong to these images. I have also used the absence of these bright colours in the black and white stylings of the tentacles that appear to be extending from out of the buildings in order to express the dark and depressing meaning behind this particular image. I have included the image of an octopus tentacle as to symbolise to my audience the fact that the mind of a mentally ill person can be an almost monstrous entity. from my perspective this final design is effective a beliefe i have come to as I feel that I have created a large amount of contrast in colour that can mainly be seen taking place between the multicoloured stylings of the hand, the bright yellow, orange and red colours of the sun in this image against the graduated dark blue to light blue colour of the triangularly shaped background. This contrast in colour has made my main focal point more effective as this causes it to stand out extremely well. Even though I believe my collage to be somewhat successful I still think that this final outcome could be improved. I would do this by creating the tentacle that is stretching from out of this collage longer and in a bolder fashion by painting it in light shades of grey and blue ink in order to make this section of this collage more eye-catching.Here I have again furthered my design by restyling the smiley face image. doing so by adding two texturised pattern on of which was an orange and black geometrical like pattern. While the other was a section of the very colourfull pattern in which can be seen taking place filling in the hand of this design in which I overlayed on top of the first texture resulting in my final piece.
This is the beginnings of my second collage. I have presented my audience with an image of a large building of which an army of women dressed in uniform can be seen appearing to be walking from out of the building as two large males wearing black and red uniforms over tower the army of women. while a large reoccurring mouth like pattern can be seen stretching up the page behind these two males. I have designed my collage in this way as to express the idea of the relentless control that mental illness can have over a person life. Doing so by first representing the idea of the source of mental illness as being the large angry looking males that are overlooking the line of women. while the marching women in this collage symbolise the forced ways of intrusive thoughts. and the image of the large reoccurring pattern that looks like a mouth has been included to resemble a scream to express the torment of this mental status. This is an image of the first layer of the second design in which I have begun to incorporate into my design. This image displays a picture of a woman escaping the first section of this collage into a rip like hole in the page that I have also drawn a green balloon and a flower emerging from. also visible in this collage is a broken strip from a board game. these newly added images have been created using ink, watercolour and pencil shading. This is my second final design in this design I have presented my viewer with an image of a bored game pattern that surrounds the original design of this collage while also re-positioning the pattern of the colourfull background texture that I had originally placed to the left-hand side of the beginnings of this design I have also included a new design of a woman climbing in to what I have drawn to appear to be a hole like rip in the page. Of which is revealing a flower and a smiling ballon. I have created these colourfull overtones by placing the multicoloured background on top of the ballon and flower image that I then set to overlay. if you will also acknowledge the orange and grey background that can be seen within this section of this collage is that of a picture that I have taken from a book. I integrated this into my design by first placing it in this position after which I changed the colour vibrancy through the use of the exposure tool. This collage had been created using a combination of materials including images that have been taken from out of a book and scan in these pictures can be seen taking place in the images of the buildings, two male officers and the largemouth like looking red and black pattern. I have also used ink, watercolour that I had painted the first layer of my collage with, pencil shading that I had filed the petals of the flower with. while the multi collared background texture has been crafted using both watercolour and ink.
Design Report This is an image of my second final collage. In this collage, I have presented my audience with an image of three buildings that have a large red and black mouth like pattern in the background in which I have added as to symbolise a scream. While two stern looking males appear to be overseeing the movement of the large line of solder like women I have placed these males in this way in hopes it would look as though that they are ordering the line of women to reflect the uncontrollable flow of sick thought that a people who suffer from poor mental health have to endure on a daily bases. I have placed these women upon a picture broken bored game of which display blood like footprints I have done this due to the fact that people who suffer from mental health issues usually experience vicious mental cycles of which can be described as being having to suffer through mind games. I began this design by first gathering images from various books of which caused me to find seven different images. The first of which was a large red and black mouth like pattern, three large buildings, an image of two stern looking males in uniform, an orange and black image that showed various shapes that I would later use as a background texture and finally an image of a line of marching women. Having found these images, I then began to place them into position. Once this was done, I then started to edit these images separately. While doing this I changed the colour vibrancy and the lighting of all these pictures using the exposure tool. After I had done that I then began designing my hand-drawn images of which I began by drawing a broken strip of a board game, a crack like hole in the centre or my page that I then drew an odd smiling balloon and a flower with revealing themselves from out of this crack and finished this design off with an image of a woman entering this rip. Once I was happy with my design, I then started to add some subtle colours by painting the balloon in green watercolour and the exterior shadows of the flower in a dark red watercolour and painted the footprints on the board game in a very dark red ink. I then started a texturized background using both watercolour and ink creating a very colourful image. That I would also use as a background after doing this I then scanned in my images and began to edit them again first adjusting the brightness of the colour using the brightness and contrast tool. After doing so I then got rid of any gaps in my ink lines using the paintbrush in order to create a more complete and finished look. Once this was done I then began to incorporate my two background textures placing my orange and black image over my largest hand-drawn image of the crack like tear in the design of which I then lowered the opacity of in order to make transparent, allowing me to cut the access imagery away and make alterations I then returned the opacity of this background back to its original status, resulting in this background fitting the outline of my design perfectly. To add to my background I then placed my multicoloured texture over this and set my image to overlay and subtracted sections with the eraser and polygon lasso tool causing it to only cover the image of both the sun and the flower while also leaving a small sections amongst the background resulting in what I believe is a very interesting background effect. I finished off my design by then using the polygon tool to select a section from the board game design of which I duplicated many times and strategically placed these duplicates behind the image of the building and the scream like pattern of which I believe well frames the lower section of my design and placed my colourful background texture within the centre of the board game .
